Senior Web Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled PHP Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development. The ideal candidate should have solid experience working withCodeIgniter v4, and at least one otherPHP framework, along with a strong understanding ofCore PHP,HTML,CSS, andjQuery. You will be involved in building, testing, and maintaining robust web applications that serve business needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications usingPHP,CodeIgniter v4, and other modern PHP frameworks.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Develop and integrate both front-end and back-end components of web applications using HTML, CSS, jQuery, and PHP, taking full ownership of the user interface and server-side logic.
• Work withMySQLdatabases: create schemas, write optimized queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with team members to define, design, and ship new features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs or performance issues across the application stack.
• Maintain codebase and useGitfor version control and team collaboration.
• Stay current with new tools, libraries, and development trends to improve code quality and delivery efficiency.
• Practice good cyber hygiene by following the established policies and procedures:
• Keep your devices and applications patched and up to date
• Use strong, unique passphrases -- make them long, complex, or both.
• Secure all devices with a strong password or PIN, and set them to lock after a few minutes of inactivity as per IT policy
• Encrypt anything that stores sensitive information
• Turn on built-in anti-malware software and firewall
• Back up important files and data
• Use separate accounts for privileged (administrator) and non-privileged (user) access
• Complete required cybersecurity training
• Report security incidents and respond to security notices
• Refrain from sharing or discussing company information with external parties both during and after your employment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 23 years of professional experience inPHP development.
• Proficiency inCodeIgniter v4is a must.
• Experience with at leastone additional PHP framework(Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
• Strong understanding ofCore PHP.
• Good working knowledge ofHTML,CSS, andjQuery.
• Experience withMySQLdatabase development and optimization.
• Familiarity with version control tools, particularlyGit.
• Basic knowledge ofcloud platformssuch asAzure,AWS, or any one cloud environment is aplus.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree inComputer Science,Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees or relevantcertificationsare a plus.
