We are looking for a Avaya Voice Engineer / UC Architect with extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing complex Avaya telephony environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise Avaya environments including:
- Avaya Aura Communication Manager
- Session Manager
- System Manager
- Avaya Messaging / Modular Messaging
- Avaya SBCs / Session Border Controllers
- Contact Center / AACC / CMS (if applicable)
- Voice architecture design reviews and implement best practices across global sites.
- Manage high-availability voice systems, disaster recovery planning, and failover configurations.
- Architect and implement integration with third-party services (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SIP trunking providers, Active Directory, Call Recording platforms).
- Provide high-level support and root cause analysis for critical incidents and escalations.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide the internal voice support team.
- Maintain and regularly update system documentation including voice infrastructure diagrams, SOPs, and escalation matrices.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, upgrades, and security improvements within the UC domain.
- Develop and maintain Avaya support relationships and manage vendor escalations to ensure SLA compliance.
- Avaya system migrations, software upgrades, and hardware refresh projects.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, change management, and operational policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Avaya enterprise telephony platforms.
- Deep expertise in Avaya Aura suite including CM, SM, SMGR, AM, and associated solutions.
- Strong experience with SIP architecture, SBCs, trunking, and network voice routing.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics skills using Avaya tools (SAT, ASA, traceSM, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of voicemail, EC500, DID provisioning, call flow design, and EVM configurations.
- Experience integrating with Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, and other enterprise services.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions and influence architecture decisions.
- Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) or Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS) certifications highly preferred.
- Strong documentation, planning.
- Experience with tools like Wireshark, Avaya One-X, System Platform, and Communication Manager CLI.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Avaya Contact Center (AACC/AES), workforce optimization tools, or recording systems.
