About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and detail oriented Video Editor with strong hands on VFX skills and a keen interest in creative direction to join our team. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in video editing and visual effects, with a passion for storytelling and a desire to contribute to broader creative concepts.
While expertise in video editing is a must, we're open to grooming and guiding the right individual in the area of creative direction-someone who is excited to grow, learn, and shape the bigger visual narrative alongside our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-quality VFX elements to enhance video impact and storytelling.
- Maintain brand consistency and ensure high production standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in video editing, storytelling, and VFX.
- Edit video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project goals and deliver compelling visual stories.
- Incorporate graphics, animations, and sound effects to elevate video quality.
- Optimize videos for different formats and resolutions, ensuring compatibility across platforms.
- Manage and organize video assets and project files.
- Support and gradually contribute to the creative direction & execution of video shoots, with mentorship from the team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio showcasing a range of work and VFX expertise.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
- Strong hands-on experience with VFX tools and techniques, including motion tracking, compositing, and 3D integration.
- Must be friendly with AI tools.
- Strong understanding of video production principles, including pacing, composition, and colour grading.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Creativity, a passion for visual storytelling, and an eagerness to explore creative direction skills.
