Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and creatively driven Senior Video Editor to join our growing in-house production team. You will be a pivotal force in shaping the final output of our campaigns, working on a diverse range of projects from compelling brand films and engaging social media content to dynamic commercial spots. This role demands editing techniques, a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of platform-specific best practices, and a hunger for exploring new tools and trends in video production.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Video Editing: Take ownership of video editing projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and technical execution.
  • Creative Storytelling: Collaborate closely with creative team, copywriters, and strategists to translate concepts into impactful visual narratives that resonate with target audiences.
  • Platform-Specific Optimization: Expertly adapt and optimize video content for various platforms including YouTube, Instagram (Reels, Stories), Facebook, LinkedIn, TV commercials, and digital display ads, understanding their unique requirements and audience behaviors.
  • Advanced Editing Techniques: Demonstrate mastery of diverse editing styles and techniques, including pacing, rhythm, visual effects (VFX), motion graphics, color correction, sound design, and mixing, to achieve desired emotional and narrative impact.
  • New Tools & Technologies: Proactively research, experiment with, and integrate new video editing software, plugins, AI tools, and production technologies to enhance workflow efficiency and creative output.
  • Asset Management: Efficiently organize, manage, and archive video footage, audio, and project files, ensuring smooth collaboration and easy retrieval.
  • Feedback Integration: Incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients, while maintaining creative integrity and project timelines.
  • Mentorship & Guidance: Provide guidance and support to junior editors or other team members on best practices, software techniques, and industry trends.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on all deliverables to ensure accuracy, technical specifications, and brand guidelines are met.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally within an advertising agency, production house, or a fast-paced in-house creative team.
  • Exceptional proficiency in industry-standard editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro (essential), After Effects (strong motion graphics skills required), DaVinci Resolve (color grading expertise preferred) and CapCut .
  • A strong portfolio/reel showcasing a diverse range of video projects, demonstrating creative flair, technical skill, and storytelling ability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate creative choices and technical challenges.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and creative challenges.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender)
  • Interest oe experience in new age mobile editing tools
  • Knowledge of virtual production tools or techniques.
  • Experience in a client-facing role for feedback sessions.
  • Ability to contribute to ideation and pre-production phases.
