Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and highly creative Senior Video Editor with a deep, proven passion for the Food & Beverage industry. You aren't just an editor; you're a visual chef. You understand that editing for F&B is about rhythm, pacing, and sensory appeal. You know how to make a dish look irresistible, how to capture the steam rising from a hot plate, and how to make a cocktail pour look like a work of art.
As our Senior Video Editor, you will be responsible for owning the post-production process from end-to-end, transforming raw footage into compelling, mouth-watering video content that drives engagement, builds our brand, and stops thumbs from scrolling.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Post-Production: Manage all aspects of video post-production, from ingesting and organizing footage to final delivery.
- Creative Storytelling: Edit and assemble raw footage into dynamic, narrative-driven videos, including social media cuts (Reels, TikToks), recipe tutorials, YouTube series, brand stories, and paid ad creative.
- F&B-Specific Editing: Apply advanced editing techniques to make food and beverage content look delicious, appetizing, and highly engaging.
- Color Grading: Perform expert-level color correction and grading to ensure all video content is vibrant, on-brand, and makes the food the star.
- Sound Design & Mixing: Clean, mix, and master audio. Select and edit music, and add sound effects to elevate the viewing experience (e.g., the sizzle of a pan, the clink of a glass).
- Motion Graphics: Create simple to intermediate motion graphics, text overlays, and transitions (e.g., in-video recipe steps, promotional text) using After Effects or Premiere Pro templates.
- Concept & Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, chefs, bartenders, and social media managers to brainstorm and pitch video concepts that align with our brand goals.
- Asset Management: Maintain an organized digital asset library and manage post-production workflows efficiently.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and feedback to junior editors or content creators (if applicable).
- Trend Monitoring: Stay on the cutting edge of video trends, editing styles, and platform changes, especially within the F&B space on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional video editing experience.
- Portfolio: A stellar and mandatory portfolio that strongly features high-quality, beautifully edited food and beverage content.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition).
- Technical Expertise:
- Exceptional skills in storytelling, pacing, and rhythm.
- Advanced knowledge of color grading (experience with DaVinci Resolve is a major plus).
- Strong understanding of sound design, mixing, and music selection.
- Proficiency in creating engaging motion graphics and titles.
- Platform Fluency: Proven experience editing for all major social platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook) and a deep understanding of their unique aspect ratios, file types, and stylistic trends.
- F&B Passion: A genuine interest in and knowledge of food, drink, and restaurant culture. You get what makes food content work.
- Attributes: Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)- Experience with camera operation (DSLR, Mirrorless, or Cinema cameras).
- Food or product videography/photography skills.
- Direct experience working in-house for an F&B brand, restaurant group, or a creative agency with F&B clients.
- Advanced 3D animation or complex motion graphics skills.
