Role Overview

We're looking for a passionate Senior Video Editor – OTT, Shows & Episodic Content who understands that editing is more than assembling footage, it's about shaping compelling stories that captivate audiences from the opening frame to the closing credits.

You'll be responsible for editing full-length episodes, reality shows, talk shows, podcasts, interviews, entertainment formats, digital series, branded content, and OTT productions while ensuring seamless narrative flow, emotional engagement, and broadcast-ready quality.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Editing & Storytelling

• Edit complete episodes for OTT platforms, television, YouTube, and digital-first shows.
• Structure narratives by selecting the strongest moments, maintaining continuity, and enhancing emotional impact.
• Assemble rough cuts, fine cuts, and final edits while ensuring seamless storytelling.
• Edit reality shows, talk shows, podcasts, interviews, documentaries, entertainment formats, branded series, and long-form digital content.
• Execute multi-camera edits for podcasts, interviews, panel discussions, talk shows, and live-recorded productions with seamless camera switching and continuity.
• Create opening titles, episode recaps, highlight packages, cliffhangers, teasers, and end-credit sequences.

Narrative Flow, Sound & Pacing

• Maintain engaging pacing and storytelling that keeps viewers invested throughout the episode.
• Shape conversations and performances while preserving authenticity.
• Build drama, humour, emotion, and energy through thoughtful editing.
• Synchronize dialogue, ambience, music, and sound effects to elevate the viewing experience.
• Collaborate with sound designers and music teams to enhance tone and atmosphere.

Technical Excellence

• Perform color correction, basic grading, audio balancing, and finishing.
• Deliver broadcast and OTT-ready masters following platform specifications.
• Export deliverables in multiple formats including 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, and platform-specific requirements.
• Ensure frame accuracy, subtitle synchronization, continuity, and technical quality.
• Maintain organized project files, timelines, media assets, and delivery pipelines.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Work closely with producers, directors, creative leads, writers, motion graphic designers, and production teams.
• Participate in review sessions and implement feedback efficiently.
• Suggest creative improvements that enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
• Stay updated with evolving editing styles, OTT trends, YouTube best practices, and audience viewing behaviour.
• Contribute fresh, creative ideas that help evolve Cocoma's visual storytelling language.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional editing experience across OTT, television, web series, reality shows, podcasts, interviews, or long-form digital content.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Audition, and DaVinci Resolve.
• Proven experience with multi-camera editing workflows for podcasts, interviews, panel discussions, talk shows, and long-form conversational content.
• Excellent understanding of storytelling, pacing, continuity, visual rhythm, and cinematic language.
• Experience delivering broadcast-quality and OTT-ready content.
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight production deadlines without compromising quality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with OTT platforms, television channels, production houses, or digital media companies.
• Familiarity with broadcast delivery standards and post-production workflows.
• Understanding of subtitle workflows, localization, and quality control.
• Knowledge of YouTube content formatting and platform optimization is an added advantage.
