Job Overview
The Senior Video Editor is responsible for leading and executing high-quality video post-production across campaigns, brands, and content initiatives. This role focuses on crafting compelling visual stories through strong editing, pacing, narrative flow, and platform-aware execution. Working closely with directors, producers, creative strategists, and content teams, the Senior Video Editor ensures visual consistency, storytelling clarity, and alignment with brand and campaign objectives across all deliverables.
This position involves editing key and high-priority projects, guiding overall video quality, supporting creative decision-making, and mentoring junior editors. The role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, creative judgment, attention to detail, and collaboration to deliver impactful video content that resonates with target audiences and drives performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end video post-production for multiple projects, from raw footage to final delivery, ensuring high creative and technical standards.
Edit and refine short-form and long-form video content across platforms, with a strong focus on social-first and video-led storytelling.
Collaborate with creative strategists, directors, producers, and content teams to translate concepts and briefs into compelling video narratives.
Guide narrative structure, pacing, hooks, transitions, and audience retention across different formats and platforms.
Ensure videos align with brand tone, visual identity, campaign intent, and platform best practices (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
Organise, manage, and maintain project files, timelines, and assets efficiently across multiple campaigns.
Manage feedback cycles, incorporate revisions effectively, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Review and provide constructive feedback on edits by junior editors, maintaining consistency and creative excellence across outputs.
Mentor junior editors by sharing best practices, workflows, and storytelling techniques.
Stay updated on industry trends, editing styles, platform algorithms, emerging formats, and post-production tools.
Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions and provide video-led inputs during concept development.
Support internal reviews and external showcases by presenting video work and explaining creative decisions when required.
Skills
Advanced video editing and post-production expertise
Strong visual storytelling and narrative building skills
Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, and audience engagement
Proficiency in editing short-form and long-form video content for digital and social platforms
Strong understanding of platform-specific video formats and best practices (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
