Job Description

Role Purpose

The Senior Vice President will be responsible for overseeing delivery, operational excellence, and client outcomes for the Americas open‑ended fund services supported from the Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India.

The role focuses on execution, governance, and people leadership, ensuring high‑quality NAV production, regulatory compliance, platform stability, and strong client partnerships—while aligning with the broader regional and global strategies defined by senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Service Management & Delivery Oversight

  • Act as the primary delivery owner for assigned Americas‑based open‑ended fund clients.
  • Partner with US‑based relationship and service managers to ensure SLA adherence and consistent service quality.
  • Escalation point for operational, NAV, and service‑related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support client growth and mandate expansions through stable and scalable delivery models.

2. NAV Oversight, Controls & Compliance

  • Provide oversight of daily and periodic NAV production for mutual funds, UCITS, and liquid alternative structures.
  • Ensure adherence to US GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal control standards.
  • Review and challenge accounting treatments for complex instruments including OTC derivatives, ETDs, and multi‑currency share classes.
  • Support audits, SOC1 / ISAE 3402 reviews, and regulatory examinations, addressing findings in collaboration with risk and compliance teams.

3. Technology & Process Optimization

  • Oversee effective usage of core platforms such as SS&C Geneva, Paxus, and Mantra.
  • Partner with technology and transformation teams to:
  • Reduce manual touchpoints
  • Improve straight‑through processing
  • Enhance data quality and reconciliation efficiency
  • Support system migrations, fund onboardings, and changes while maintaining BAU stability.

4. People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Manage multi‑layered teams (Managers, AVPs, Leads) across shifts supporting US hours.
  • Drive performance management, coaching, and skill development within the unit.
  • Support workforce planning aligned to volumes, fund launches, and seasonal demands.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Service Delivery: NAV accuracy, SLA adherence, incident volumes.
  • Control Environment: Audit outcomes, timely closure of issues and observations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Reduction in manual exceptions, improved turnaround times.
  • People Metrics: Team engagement, leadership stability, controlled attrition.
  • Client Satisfaction: Positive feedback from relationship managers and clients.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience:
  • 17–19 years in Fund Administration / Asset Management Operations
  • Proven experience managing open‑ended funds within GCCs or global delivery models
  • Qualifications:
  • CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA (Finance) preferred
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of the open‑ended fund lifecycle (NAV, pricing, TA interaction, compliance)
  • Technology Exposure:
  • Hands‑on or oversight experience with Geneva, Paxus, Mantra, or similar platforms
  • Communication:
  • Clear, concise communicator with the ability to engage US stakeholders at a delivery and control level
