Title:Senior Treasury Analyst (TA)
Position Description
The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting and overseeing the execution of KBR Treasury's strategy, with a strong focus on Trade Finance, banking operations, and risk mitigation. This role is more supervisory in nature and includes reviewing work performed by Treasury Analysts and Associates, providing technical guidance, and ensuring adherence to treasury best practices, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
The role plays a key part in supporting Trade Finance, Bank Account Administration,Credit Reviews, Treasury budgetingandmonitoring,and Treasury projects and improvement initiatives, while acting as a subject‑matter resource for in‑scope treasury activities. The incumbent is expected to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, banks, and surety providers
Scope of role and responsibilities include the following:
Supervision & Review
- Review and approve work prepared by Treasury Analysts and Associates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Treasury policies and internal controls.
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior team members.
- Act as a quality control point for treasury deliverables, including trade finance transactions, bank documentation, and reporting.
- Assist Managers by providing data analysis, insights, and supporting materials for Treasury projects, budgeting reviews, and improvement initiatives
TradeFinance& Banking Activities
- Oversee day‑to‑day trade finance operations across Bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit, and Surety Bonds by providing supervisory oversight, technical guidance, and review.
- Act as the primary contact point for complex transactions, documentation issues, bank queries, and resolution of exceptions related to trade finance instruments.
- Manage and prioritize work allocation within the trade finance team, ensuring appropriate bandwidth planning, workload distribution, and timely delivery of activities.
- Oversee coordination with banks and surety brokers, maintaining effective relationships and supporting Analysts in resolving operational issues.
- Ensure accurate maintenance, governance, and review of trade finance records and related data within the Treasury Management System.
Risk Management & Credit Review
- Review and validate financial analysis prepared by Treasury Analysts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and appropriate application of accounting and financial concepts.
- Ensure Analyst recommendations are well‑supported by underlying analysis and are appropriately aligned to the risk profile, credit exposure, and specific project context.
- Challenge assumptions, key inputs, and conclusions in credit assessments, providing guidance to strengthen analytical rigor and consistency.
- Demonstrate and reinforce strong analytical standards and sound accounting fundamentals across the team through review and feedback.
Bank Account Administration
- Review bank account opening/closing/modification requests and related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review and ensure that changes to bank mandates, authorized signatories, and user access on bank platforms are updated accurately and on a timely basis.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and governance of bank account records maintained in the Treasury Management System.
- Act as an escalation point for complex bank account issues, documentation gaps, and audit queries, supporting Analysts in resolution.
Accounting Close, Controls & Compliance
- Oversee and support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities related to trade finance and treasury‑related accounts.
- Review documentation, reconciliations, and supporting evidence to ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
- Support and review annual and periodic compliance activities, including signer audits and FBAR certification, ensuring accuracy of workpapers prepared by Analysts
Reporting, Projects & Process Improvement
- Prepare and review treasury reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs for Treasury leadership and senior management, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
- Participate in and lead treasury projects, automation efforts, and improvement initiatives within Trade Finance, Bank Account Administration, and Treasury budgeting and monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, controls, and data quality across treasury processes.
- Apply strong critical and analytical thinking with a high attention to detail when interpreting data and developing insights.
- Demonstrate familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI and Excel to support data‑driven decision‑making.
Qualification Requirements:
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Trade Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Accounting, with demonstrated experience reviewing and overseeing work prepared by others.
- Post‑graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred professional certifications such as CA, CTP, CMA, or ACCA are strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros), Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project experience with Adobe/PDF tools and MS Teams.
- Hands‑on experience with treasury, banking, and reporting systems such as FIS, Bloomberg, WDesk, SharePoint, Power BI, and MSD (or similar platforms) is preferred.
- Strong analytical foundation and accounting knowledge, with the ability to assess data accuracy, challenge assumptions, and draw well‑reasoned conclusions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, review complex information, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills, with the confidence to provide guidance, challenge analyses constructively, and support decision‑making.
- Demonstrates confidence, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and support junior staff development.
