Job Title: QA Manual and Performance Engineer

Experience Level: 47 Years

Shift: Standard IST (with some overlap for global collaboration)

Location: Pune

Role Summary We are looking for a skilled Software Tester to perform manual testing and performance benchmarking for enterprise-grade communication solutions. The role focuses on validating functionality, scalability, reliability, and protocol complianceideally with exposure to Avaya environments, though equivalent experience in similar complex systems is welcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual testing of call flows and scenarios to identify issues.
  • Deploy and configure solutions per documented procedures.
  • Design and run load/performance tests (using tools like JMeter and simulators) to benchmark APIs and system performance; analyze bottlenecks and root causes.
  • Validate end-to-end integrations and call flows (preferred experience across Avaya Aura components or comparable platforms).
  • Perform in-depth log, trace, and packet analysis (using Wireshark and similar tracing tools) for debugging complex failures.
  • Manage defects, test cases, and documentation using Jira and Confluence.
  • Define test strategies, scope, coverage, and entry/exit criteria for release verification.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain test environments (including clusters, certificates, SIP endpoints, etc.).

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Core Technical Stack

  • Avaya Specialization (Preferred): Hands-on experience with Avaya Aura contact center solutions or similar enterprise communication platforms.
  • Kubernetes & Docker: Good working knowledge of containerization and orchestration.
  • Performance Testing: Strong experience with JMeter (for API/web services load testing); familiarity with simulators and performance monitoring tools is a plus.
  • Database: Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including backup/restore operations (e.g., pgBackRest, pg_dump).
  • Security Fundamentals: Experience with certificates, TLS configuration, and secure signaling (SIP/TLS).
  • Operating Systems: Advanced Linux proficiency (RHEL/CentOS preferred).
  • Scripting/Automation: Python or Shell scripting to automate testing tasks and procedures.

Professional Skills

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Quick learner, able to rapidly apply knowledge from documentation and knowledge transfers.
  • Strong collaboration skills in distributed, global teams.
  • Clear and effective written/verbal communication.

Education & Experience

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, or related field.
  • Experience: 47 years total in software testing/QA.
    • Minimum 3 years in Contact Center (CC) domain or equivalent real-time communication systems.
    • Avaya-specific experience is strongly preferred but not mandatorycandidates with deep expertise in comparable VoIP/contact center platforms will be considered.
Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, or related field.
