Automation Test Lead / Architect

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to drive end-to-end quality strategy, automation, and delivery excellence across products and platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining quality standards, leading QE teams, and ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performing software releases.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Define and own the overall Quality Engineering (QE) strategy across projects and releases
- Establish quality standards, KPIs, metrics, and best practices
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Quality Engineers and Automation specialists
Champion Shift-Left testing practices to improve early defect detection.
Test Planning & Execution
- Own test planning, estimation, scheduling, and risk management
- Review and approve test strategies, test cases, and automation plans
- Ensure comprehensive coverage across functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement defect prevention strategies.
Test Automation:
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium)
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Enhance test reliability, execution speed, and maintainability
Track and report automation coverage, ROI, and effectiveness.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering Leads to ensure quality alignment
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, release readiness)
- Serve as the quality gatekeeper for all releases
Communicate quality risks, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Performance, Security & Reliability
- Lead performance, load, and scalability testing initiatives
- Collaborate on security testing, compliance, and risk mitigation
Support production monitoring, incident analysis, and post-release validation.
Tools & Process Improvement
- Own and enhance test processes, tools, and reporting dashboards
- Drive continuous improvement using metrics, KPIs, and retrospectives
Ensure documentation, traceability, and audit readiness across test artifacts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and QA Leadership
- Hands-on expertise with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience in performance and security testing is a plus
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
