Senior Test Engineer

Functional Tester with Banking Domain Expertise:

• Experience in Payment Switch, Cards, ATM, and POS domains.
• Experience with Payment Switches like FIS IST (preferred), ACI BASE24, BPC SmartVista, HPS PowerCard, etc.
• Candidates with a development background in these systems are also welcome.
• Hands-on experience with ATM and POS machines testing.
• Experience with VISA, Mastercard, FIS OTS, FinSim simulators.
• Should have hands-on simulator testing experience.
• Experience in VISA, Mastercard, CUP, JCB issuer certifications (at least one end-to-end certification).
• Experience with Card Management Systems or Merchant Acquiring is an advantage.

QA Leadership & Collaboration:

• Assist in leading the QA team, including mentoring and managing direct reports.
• Provide updates to the manager on team progress and project status.
• Foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes effective communication and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to end-to-end product QA across functional, automation, and performance testing streams.
• Follow QA/QE practices aligned with business objectives and promote best practices.
• Drive discussions with stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication.
• Improve visibility and collaboration in automated testing, including tracking and reporting.

Testing and Automation Responsibilities:

• Develop tests for large-scale data migrations and high-throughput scenarios.
• Simulate system data growth and evaluate future scenarios.
• Design scalable test automation patterns to support platform customization and configurability.
• Create and maintain automated test suites integrated into CI pipelines.
• Ensure traceability between testing activities and project outcomes.
• Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality to measure and track QA performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Task Management & Reporting:

• Capture the test artifacts and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
• Proactively manage tasks, prioritizing and requesting resources when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Provide QA reporting, including test status, defect resolution, and prevention.
