Role Overview
We are looking for aSenior Test Engineer Mobileto join our QA team in Trivandrum. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mobile applications through effective testing strategies, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
The role requires strong experience inmobile application testing, cross-device validation, and integration testing with web applications. The candidate will also be expected tolead the mobile QA efforts, coordinate with the client team, and support sprint-based delivery cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performfunctional, regression, and integration testingfor mobile applications.
- Ensure quality of applications acrossmultiple mobile devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
- Execute and maintainmobile automation scripts using Appium.
- Conductcross-device testingto ensure compatibility and stability.
- Validatemobile and web integration workflowsto ensure seamless user experience.
- Create, maintain, and updatetest cases in TestRail.
- Log, track, and verify defects usingRedmine(experience is preferred but not mandatory).
- Work closely withdevelopers, product owners, and client teamsto clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate inAgile sprint ceremoniesincluding sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Lead and guide QA activities for the mobile team, ensuring timely delivery of testing tasks.
- Collaborate with the client team toensure alignment on quality standards and release expectations.
- Ensure propertest coverage, documentation, and traceability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4 8 years of experiencein software testing with strong exposure tomobile application testing.
- Strong understanding ofmobile testing concepts and best practices.
- Hands-on experience withAppium for mobile automation.
- Experience incross-device testing across Android and/or iOS platforms.
- Experience validatingmobile applications integrated with web platforms.
- Experience working inAgile/Sprint-based development environments.
- Experience withtest case management tools such as TestRail.
- Good understanding ofdefect tracking tools (Redmine preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability tocollaborate with internal and client teams.
- Ability tolead testing activities for a small team.
Good to Have:
- Experience inAPI testing.
- Experience withCI/CD-based test execution.
- Exposure tocloud device testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.).
