Senior Technology Leader / HOD (AI Focused)

We are seeking a Senior Technology Leader / HOD to own the organization's overall technical vision with a strong strategic focus on AI-driven solutions. This role goes beyond any single tech stack and requires someone who can understand AI from both business and technical perspectives, translate complex client needs into scalable solutions, and drive innovation across teams. You will act as a bridge between clients, product, and engineering, ensuring technology decisions align with business outcomes while enabling AI adoption at scale.

Technology Leadership & AI Vision

• Define and own the overall technical architecture and roadmap with AI-first thinking

• Make technology-agnostic decisions based on use cases and business needs

• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and future-ready
  

• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, especially AI, Generative AI, and data-driven systems
  
  

AI Strategy & Solution Enablement

• Lead AI adoption across products and client solutions

• Guide AI use cases such as:

• Predictive systems

• Recommendations

• Automation & intelligent workflows

• Generative AI / LLM-based solutions

• Oversee the AI lifecycle: data readiness, model selection, deployment, and monitoring
  

• Ensure responsible and sustainable AI practices

Client Engagement & Solution Design

• Work closely with clients to understand business challenges

• Translate AI requirements into practical, scalable architectures
  

• Act as a technical advisor, explaining AI feasibility, ROI, and implementation approach

• Support pre-sales, solution architecture, and technical proposals

Team Leadership & Engineering Excellence

• Lead and mentor engineering teams across backend and AI

• Set standards for architecture, code quality, documentation, and delivery
  

• Oversee production readiness, cloud architecture, performance, and security

• Foster a culture of ownership, learning, and innovation
  
  
  

Strategic Collaboration

• Collaborate with Product and Leadership teams on planning, estimations, timelines, and risk management Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical vision

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with senior leadership responsibility

• Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, system architecture, and databases
  

• Solid conceptual knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI
  

• Experience working across multiple technologies and platforms

• Strong client communication and architecture decision-making skills

Preferred / Value-Add

• Experience with AI/ML systems, LLMs, or MLOps concepts
  

• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Exposure to service-based, product, startup, or high-growth environments
