Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex diagnostic and laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure all systems and machines operate efficiently, safely, and within required performance standards.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians, offering guidance, training, mentoring, and performance support.
  • Allocate and prioritize daily work assignments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Maintenance & Equipment Management

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues and avoid downtime.
  • Develop, review, and implement maintenance procedures, SOPs, and protocols to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate logs of repairs, calibration, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory.

Project & Operational Support

  • Collaborate with engineers, biomedical teams, and project managers on equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
  • Support continuous improvement projects focusing on safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to hospital safety guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of operational discipline within diagnostic/lab environments.

Continuous Learning

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in diagnostics, laboratory operations, and biomedical systems.
