About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our Traffic & Vehicle Management Application. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software systems. You will work closely with system architects, developers, and operations teams to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation, process guides, and API references. Your work will help internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners understand, use, and maintain the system efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the platform, including system architecture, workflows, APIs, and integration guides.
- Translate complex technical concepts, regulatory requirements, and operational processes into clear, accurate, and accessible content.
- Collaborate with system architects, developers, DevOps, and operations teams to gather information, clarify technical details, and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Create user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), release notes, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure documentation meets organizational standards for clarity, consistency, and usability.
- Document security and privacy protocols for sensitive data in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain version-controlled documentation aligned with software updates and system changes.
- Contribute to knowledge management practices, including creating templates, style guides, and best practices for technical writing.
Requirements
- 58 years of experience in technical writing, preferably for large-scale software
- Strong understanding of software systems, APIs, and cloud/on-premise architectures.
- Familiarity with data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance for sensitive systems.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to gather accurate information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, MS Word, Markdown, Adobe FrameMaker) and version control systems (Git preferred).
- Knowledge of traffic management, transportation systems, or vehicle management platforms is a plus.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Communication, or a related field.
