We are looking for an experienced Technical Writing Consultant (SaaS) to help us build and streamline the documentation ecosystem for a growing SaaS platform.

This role goes beyond writing documentation. We are looking for someone who understands how documentation systems are built, structured, and maintained at scale.

The consultant will help define the documentation workflow, establish standards, and guide the technical writing function while working closely with product, engineering, and support teams.

Role Responsibilities

Define and implement the documentation framework for a SaaS product

Set up structured documentation workflows and processes

Guide and support the technical writing team

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to ensure documentation accuracy

Establish documentation standards, versioning practices, and release documentation processes

Ensure documentation aligns with compliance and security standards where required

Documentation Scope

The candidate should have hands on experience creating and managing:

API documentation and developer documentation

Product user guides and manuals

Technical notes and knowledge base articles

Release notes and product update documentation

Internal technical documentation for product teams

Preferred Knowledge

Experience working with or documenting systems that align with:

HIPAA compliance

ISO 20001 standards

GDPR requirements

Experience with tools such as Swagger, Postman, ReadMe, Confluence, or similar documentation platforms will be a strong advantage.
