Senior Technical Writer

Duties and Responsibilities

This is your chance to work with the people who are leading the cloud & ERP revolution. You'll bring fresh insight to projects that are changing lives around the world. As a Best Practices Content Developer, you will:

• Identify, produce, and publish expert knowledge to help customers and their partners configure, extend, and fully utilize the applications to achieve their desired business outcomes.
• Develop and/or evolve best practice programs to successfully guide customers through lifecycle stages (project initiation, product optimization, and product changes) and to better use the full application, often in collaboration with other product teams.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to write, edit and maintain best practice materials, including conceptual and instructional documents, presentations, and videos that contain the right tone and level of detail for both technical and less technical Cloud applications audiences.
• Support a community of contributors by working to harvest, refine to ensure consistent standards, and disseminate best practice materials identified and produced by other SAP teams and partners.
• Develop and deliver Sales presentations, press releases, Product Demos, Marketing collaterals and webinars for customer, partner and internal audiences.
• Use various mechanisms to ensure customers, partners and leads are aware of and use best practices and latest industry trends.
• Represent the voice of the customer in all activities and across Cognitus teams to ensure we continuously press for a simplified cloud experience for our often non-technical customer audience.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
• 6+ years of experience in developing materials and learning approaches for implementation and super users of Cloud applications. A background in curriculum development or technical writing is a plus.
• Experience with Cloud applications; domain experience with SAP Cloud applications, is a plus.
• Clear concise communication skills; written, verbal, and presentation. (Writing samples are required.)
• Experienced user of video production applications (e.g., Camtasia, Captivate, or Articulate).
• Fluency with written and spoken communication in English.
• Strong project and team management skills.
• Proven ability to think critically, solve problems, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.
• Enthusiastic about information design and knowledgeable about current trends and technologies in the field.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
