SAP Technical Manager (BTP, GenAI & Analytics)

As the lead for SAP AI & Innovation Studio, this role is the technical engine behind your practice's roadmap. This individual isn't just a coder; they are a Technical Evangelist who can translate Generative AI from a buzzword into a tangible Shop Floor Assistant or a predictive analytics dashboard.

Position Overview

The SAP Technical Manager will lead the technical architecture and execution of innovation projects. You will be the bridge between core S/4HANA systems and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), focusing on building high-scale, AI-powered extensions and advanced data-to-value solutions within RISE and GROW environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Full stack BTP Architecture & Development

Lead the design and development of Cloud-Native applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and SAP Cloud SDK.

Drive Clean Core development by building Side-by-Side extensions on BTP (Node.js/Java/Python).

Oversee complex Integration Suite architectures, migrating legacy middleware to modern, API-first landscapes.

2. Generative AI & Hyper-Automation

Architect and deploy SAP Generative AI Hub solutions, integrating LLMs into business processes via SAP Joule.

Build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications utilizing SAP HANA Cloud Vector Engine.

Identify and develop use cases for AI-driven automation (e.g., automated document processing or predictive maintenance).

3. Data-to-Value & Analytics

Design end-to-end data pipelines using SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Deliver real-time insights by federating data across S/4HANA, 3rd party apps, and hyperscalers.

Enable Augmented Analytics to provide predictive forecasting for Finance and Logistics.

4. Customer Workshops & Pre-Sales Innovation

Conduct Discovery Workshops to map customer business challenges to BTP innovation services.

Develop Rapid Prototypes and MVPs to demonstrate the value of AI in a sales cycle.

Represent the technical voice of the practice in RFP responses and Executive Steering Committees.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Core: 10+ years in SAP Technical Architecture with 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BTP (Global Account/Sub-account setup, Security, and Services).

AI Expertise: Experience with SAP AI Core, AI Foundation, and integrating Foundation Models (GPT-4, Claude, etc.) into SAP landscapes.

Full stack Mastery: Proficient in Fiori/SAPUI5, Node.js, and HANA Cloud.

Data Savvy: Proven experience with SAP Datasphere and complex SAC modeling.

Strategic Mindset: Deep understanding of how BTP enables RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP transitions.

Industry Specialization: Ability to tailor technical solutions to specific industry verticals (e.g., Manufacturing or Pharma).
