Power Lab Engineer
Role Objective
Own high‑fidelity power measurement execution using DAQ‑ and MINQ‑based setups in the Power Lab.
This role is lab‑centric, instrumentation‑heavy, and focused on accurate, repeatable power data generation across devices and silicon.
Key Responsibilities
DAQ / MINQ Power Measurement (Primary)
Set up and operate DAQ‑based and MINQ‑based power measurement systems
Perform rail‑level and system‑level power measurements
Configure current shunts, sense lines, probes, and instrumentation
Ensure measurement accuracy, repeatability, and calibration
Capture power traces, averages, peaks, and transitions
Execute power runs across different workloads
Identify power regressions and improvements
Compare results across SoCs, OEMs, and reference platforms
Power Lab Operations
Support power lab bring‑up and bench readiness
Maintain DAQ / MINQ hardware, cabling, and accessories
Ensure compliance with electrical safety and ESD protocols
Coordinate with infra teams on power, grounding, HVAC
Device Rework
Perform approved device rework required for power measurement:
Opening devices for power rail access
Cable / shunt insertion
Connector and probe adjustments
Restore devices to test‑ready condition
Rework limited to power‑measurement enablement only.
Reporting
Produce clean power measurement reports
Highlight anomalies, regressions, and trends
Provide data inputs for platform health reviews
Required Skills
Hands‑on experience with DAQ and/or MINQ power setups
Understanding of power rails, current sensing, shunts
Experience working in hardware / power labs
Comfortable opening devices and performing lab‑level rework
Degree Requirement
Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering
and equivalent hands‑on power lab experience
