Role Overview
Leads the Extraction Pod responsible for ingesting Que's legacy T-SQL codebase, generating rule narratives, and producing locked specs using Sonata's Frontier RE pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Extraction Pod: ingest Que SPs, triggers, DDL, views (50K LOC T-SQL)
- Build and run AST + dependency graph analysis; identify dynamic SQL, cursors, temp tables for manual review
- Run Frontier RE pipeline (batch extraction of rule narratives with line-level T-SQL traceability)
- Confirm 75-rule inventory out of 541 total; map 7 categories (EDI 37 + Portal 47+ field rules)
- Auto-generate Gherkin scenarios per rule; surface conflicts to Business/Rules Architect
- Coordinate HITL review cycles with Integra SMEs for spec lock
- Deliver traceability matrix: stored proc → spec → implementation → test (no orphan code paths)
- Produce rule dependency graph, rule cluster map, and BRD/PRD from locked specs
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–10 years in software engineering; 2+ years tech lead experience
- Strong T-SQL / SQL Server: stored procedures, triggers, dynamic SQL, dependency analysis
- Python or similar for scripting static analysis / AST tooling
- Experience with large-scale legacy code reverse-engineering or migration
- Familiarity with LLM-assisted extraction tools (Azure OpenAI, Copilot, or similar)
- Gherkin / BDD specification authoring
- Healthcare domain a plus — claims, prior auth, DMEPOS rules
- Strong written communication — specs and BRDs are primary deliverables
