Cradlepoint is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Technical Lead - Backend to join our R&D unit. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in architecting and developing scalable, high-performance cloud-native AI/ML big-data analytics software. You will lead a team of talented developers, mentor junior members, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. This position requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise in Python and cloud-native technologies, and a collaborative approach to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our telecom operator customers.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Architect and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using Python, ensuring efficient and reliable systems.
• Team Leadership:Lead a team of highly motivated developers, conducting thorough code reviews, actively mentoring junior members, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to deliver cohesive and integrated solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in backend development, AI/ML, and cloud-native architectures, integrating them into the development process to enhance efficiency and product quality.
• System Design & Architecture: Actively contribute to and take ownership of system design and architecture decisions.
• Testing & Quality: Lead the effort to write unit tests first before implementing features, ensuring the functionality is well-defined and testable.

What You Will Bring: Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 8-12 years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Python.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Python & Django/Rest API/FLASK/FAST API.
• Extensive experience with Microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming in Python.
• Experience with Data Scrubbing and ML Libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker) and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Databases, including both MySQL and NoSQL solutions.
• Exposure to security best practices in system design and implementation.
• Knowledge about end-to-end tests using Robot framework and wire-mock.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with various cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
