Role Overview

As a Senior Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in leading the design and execution of complex automation workflows, managing technical projects, mentoring a team, and collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable automation solutions using Make (formerly Integromat), Zapier, and custom API integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and execution of complex automation workflows using Make.com, Zapier, and other low-code/no-code tools.
• Design and implement scalable workflows, optimize automation systems, and ensure system integration.
• Work directly with clients to translate business requirements into technical automation solutions, ensuring alignment with their goals.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services, designing efficient data structures to enhance automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring long-term fixes and improvements to workflows.
  
  

Team Management & Mentoring

• Manage a team of junior developers and automation specialists, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards in all technical projects.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, helping them develop both technical and professional skills.
• Oversee and ensure that team deliverables meet client expectations, deadlines, and quality standards.
  
  

Client & Project Management

• Take the lead in client communications to ensure expectations are clear and managed effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, business, operations) to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Review and prioritize project tasks, track progress, and ensure delivery deadlines are met.
  
  

Innovation & Continuous Learning

• Stay current with emerging automation technologies, low-code/no-code platforms, and industry trends.
• Innovate solutions to streamline operations for clients and introduce new automation frameworks within the team.
• Encourage and lead internal knowledge-sharing and training sessions to improve team expertise.
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technical or automation-focused role, with 5+ years in leadership or team management.
• Expertise in Make.com and Zapier, with experience in building and managing complex automation scenarios.
• Strong proficiency in APIs, webhooks, and data handling (e.g., JSON, REST APIs).
• Hands-on experience with automation-related scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
• Strong familiarity with databases, CRMs, SaaS platforms, and third-party integrations.
• Proven ability to manage technical projects, coordinate with multiple teams, and oversee project timelines.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and extensive client-facing experience.
• Strong team management skills and the ability to drive team performance and development.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
• Exposure to tools like Airtable, Notion, Slack, HubSpot, Google Workspace, etc.
• Experience mentoring or managing a technical team of developers.
• Understanding of software development principles and familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
