A Brief Overview
This position will assist with the corporate tax compliance, tax planning, and tax accounting function for TriNet's India-based subsidiary and supports the US corporate tax compliance and accounting function.
What You Will Do
Preparation and review of consolidated federal, multi-state separate and unitary, and local corporate tax returns, related workpapers, extensions and estimated payments accurately and in accordance with internal deadlines Update and maintain the tax calendar encompassing all tax filings (forms, payments, returns, etc.) and ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax deadlines Assist with preparing the information and analysis to accurately respond to Federal, State and Local jurisdictional notices and audit requests Assist with India tax compliance including return preparation and review as well as responding to notices from relevant taxing authorities Prepare indirect tax filing obligations such as: GST, property, sales and use tax returns Prepare monthly GL account analyses including reconciling income tax, property and sales tax accounts Research and summarize legislative and regulatory tax law developments/changes Assisting manager in responding to internal and external customers queries Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience, advanced degree preferred Experience Qualifications

Understanding of tax principles in addition to accounting and business procedures Ability to perform tax research and effectively communicate (written and verbal) income tax accounting and compliance issues Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Experience with RIA Checkpoint, OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision, Oracle ERP and/or equivalent systems a plus A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities Knowledge of current accounting principles, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements Strong analytical, research, and accounting skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Proficient knowledge of tax research and compliance resources and tools Licenses and Certifications
