About the Role:

The Team: The Center of Excellence Accounting team within Corporate Controllersis responsible foraccounting functions across S&P Global related to revenue, as well as providing centralized accounting support for the income statement. The team values collaboration, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving approaches to meet the diverse needs of the organization.

The Impact: The ideal candidate willpossessa strong understanding of Tableau and Power BI, coupled with a solid foundation in dashboard design and data analytics.UK shift hours required (2-11 PM IST), and the role requires the candidate to work out of the Hyderabad office four days a week. This role requires a proactive individual capable of translating complex business requirements into visually compelling and insightful dashboards thatfacilitatedata-driven decision-making. The individual willbe responsible fordeveloping andmaintainingTableau dashboards for the Revenue and Expense teams, which will involve joining and blending data from multiple sources to create comprehensive visualizations.Proficiencyin SQL Server is essential for effectively managing the data warehouse and ensuring data integrity.

Additionally, the individual will oversee the management of the Tableau server, including configuring access rights and permissions to ensure secure and efficient use of the dashboards across the organization. This role is critical in enabling stakeholders toleveragedata insights for strategic planning and operational improvements.

Experience with Oracle and SAP ERP navigation, as well as ETL design, is considereda valuable asset.

Responsibilities:

  • UK shift hours required (2-11 PM IST).

  • Design, develop, andmaintaininteractive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to meet the needs of accounting teams.

  • Collaborate with accounting professionals to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations that drive business insights.

  • Utilize SQL Server to extract, manipulate, and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and relevance for reporting purposes.

  • Implement best practices for data visualization and dashboard design to enhance user experience and data comprehension.

  • Work with Alteryx for data preparation and blending, ensuring seamless integration with Tableau and Power BI.

  • Conduct testing and validation of dashboards and reports to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing dashboards and reports, makingupdates asnecessary to accommodate changing business needs.

  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data visualization tools and techniques.

Qualifications

  • 2-5years of experience in dashboard development using Tableau and Power BI.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, ora relatedfield.

  • Experience working with accounting teams to understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.

  • Proficiencyin SQL Server for data extraction and manipulation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Willingness tolearnour new systems and legacy systems at a fast pace.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to interact and collaborate with internal and external customers at all levels of management and staff globally.

  • High degree of accuracy and management of heavy workload understanding of contributions to the overallend to endprocess.

  • Must be assertive to follow up on resolving issues, ability to multi-task in afast pacedand ever-changing environment.
