About the Role
As a Senior System Engineer at Naveera, you'll own the architecture and system design that underpins our NEMT fleet management platform. You'll model our telematics, routing, and backend systems with diagrams, requirements, and scalable patterns ensuring our infrastructure can handle growth while maintaining reliability for fleets that depend on us every day.
Responsibilities
- Design system architecture and technical specifications for new features and services
- Create detailed diagrams (C4, sequence, ERD) to communicate system design
- Define data models, API contracts, and integration patterns
- Collaborate with developers to ensure implementations match architectural intent
- Document system requirements, constraints, and trade-offs for technical decisions
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in system design or software architecture
- Strong proficiency in creating technical diagrams and documentation
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, databases, and API design
- Experience modeling complex business domains and workflows
- Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in logistics, transportation, or fleet management systems
- Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time systems
- Familiarity with compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.)
- Previous work defining architecture for SaaS or multi-tenant platforms
