Company OverviewTakumi Motion Controls is Startup based out of Bangalore, India. Our focus in India is delivering EV Powertrain Solutions to Our Customers in Collaboration with our Japanese Peers. Upholding the Vision of Innovate in India with Japanese Technology, We are developing Vehicle Powertrain Solutions (Motor controller, vehicle controller etc.,) for Electric Vehicles that will cater to selected segments in the Indian Market. With Localized design and In House Manufacturing of Solutions we strive to enable the Small Electric Vehicle Eco System.
Expectation from candidatesWe are seeking a highly driven and accountable system engineer who combines strong technical acumen with passion and determination. The ideal candidate will be analytical, solution-oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving skills, with a deep interest in building robust, high-quality systems. Candidates must have a solid understanding of vehicle dynamics and powertrain systems and be capable of developing high-fidelity models and advanced control systems for real-world applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Responsibilities include:
Model based engineering:oDevelop high-fidelity model of electric vehicle systems (including multibody simulation)
oOptimize powertrain sizing and define system architecture using scientific methods
oDevelop control functions for vehicle control and motor control and sensors.
Vehicle system engineering:oPrepare demo vehicles by designing and implementing key sub-systems such as transmission, suspension, and chassis.
oIntegrate vehicle sub-systemsincluding cluster, BMS, controller, and chargerand perform functional evaluations.
oConduct on-road tests to assess drive range, drivability, and performance across defined use cases.
System requirements specification:oDetermine sub-system/ component requirements based on system simulation results.
oDesign system architecture along with sub-system teams and perform FMEA.
oDetailed test plan preparation for Integration testing and validation.
System testing and analysis:oSystem Integration testing on bench level and vehicle level and complete data analysis.
oDiagnostics and failure analysis using FTA, 5-WHY analysis.
Product developmentoHands on experience on product development cycle (V model) and process (APQP)
oDevelop parts by working with stakeholders and suppliers.
Education and ExpertiseDegree or Equivalent Experience : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering
Years of Experience : 5 to 7 years
Tool proficiency : Hands on experience on system modelling and 1D simulation, software - like Matlab / Simulink or equivalent
