Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with 10-15 years of experience to lead structural design projects for the Food & Beverage industry. This role requires a dynamic professional who can lead projects from the conceptual phase to completion, managing scope, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EPC projects, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead the structural design of projects, including the analysis and design of superstructures and foundations for industrial facilities, as well as steel and concrete buildings. You'll manage the project's scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring all key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • Technical Expertise: Review geotechnical reports, equipment vendor drawings, and fabrication drawings. You will serve as a technical advisor, providing senior-level input to ensure designs comply with safety codes and client requirements.
  • Team Development & Management: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing them with guidance and training. You'll assist in manpower planning, hiring, and performance appraisals, helping to formulate career development plans to guide career progression.
  • Coordination & Quality: Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and stakeholders to achieve a clash-free system design. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to QA/QC processes and company safety policies.
  • Communication & Reporting: Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates, reporting on project performance as needed. Your excellent communication skills will be essential for effectively coordinating with all engineering disciplines.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, and a Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a significant advantage.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of working experience, with a strong preference for EPC project experience.
  • Skills:
  • Technical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to produce accurate, self-checked work.
  • Interpersonal: A dynamic personality with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be a people person with strong people management skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Travel: A willingness to travel to the United States to support inter-departmental initiatives.
