Job Summary

Jacob Engineers is seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead structural analysis and design projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural steel and RCC design, project coordination, and mentoring junior engineers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead structural analysis and design for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and technical specifications.

Design steel and reinforced concrete structures in compliance with AISC, IS, BS, Eurocode, or other relevant standards.

Perform advanced structural modeling and analysis using industry software (ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, SAP2000, etc.).

Review and approve structural drawings and detailing packages.

Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and clients.

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and detailers.

Conduct site visits for structural inspections and technical support.

Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and timeline requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

8+ years of structural design experience.

Strong knowledge of RCC and structural steel design principles.

Hands-on experience with structural analysis software (ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000, etc.).

Sound understanding of international design codes and standards.

Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in high-rise, industrial, or heavy steel structures.

Experience handling international projects.

Proficiency in foundation design and connection design.

Exposure to BIM workflows and coordination.
