Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in data analysis, working with databases, and querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in generating summary statistics, and developing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or with programming language (e.g., Python).
  • Experience in working with abuse, spam, fraud or malware.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment

About The Job

The Shopping team within Trust and Safety is recruiting enthusiastic, web-savvy individuals to work with technologies in order to keep users safe on Google Shopping. As part of this team, you will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product and Operations teams in a multifaceted effort to improve our processes for identifying and resolving policy and safety issues.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex projects with various groups of stakeholders. You will be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, innovative, and grow in a fast-paced environment. With your technical and business acumen skills, you will understand the user's point of view and protect our users. You will also be responsible to analyze market trends, set forward-looking strategy, and implement scaled solutions to solve user safety issues, to ensure a high-quality user experience across Shopping products.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate and manage high impact strategies which increase user safety or improve user experience on Google Shopping in partnership with executive stakeholders from Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Policy, Sales and other Trust and Safety teams.
  • Perform investigative fraud and abuse analysis, produce actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow improvements and operational efficiency gains, and subsequently drive solutions to completion.
  • Strengthen global partnerships with executive stakeholders across teams and act as a reliable domain expert for them.
  • Take part in the regular on-call coverage rotation to resolve sensitive issues and escalations.
