About the role
Lead all Planning teams teams, manage delivery of all Property programme for development and business initiatives, ensuring to elevating the Tesco brand and enhancing the overall customer experience.
You will be responsible for
- Leading a team that provides cost effective solutions suited for Tesco while ensuring all projects remain within the agreed scope scope.

- The accuracy, quality, and tracking of my teams overall programme delivery though right plans and design packs,while being consistent across regions.

- Responsible to manage store feasibility planning, detail store layouts, project initiatives and design implementation packs from initial development to the creation of the as-built drawing stage as per Store Development Programme

- Guide and manage team to provide store layouts and design implementation pack that align with property strategy, offer great customer, and colleague experience, deliver to our financial targets, and have minimal disruption and in line with legal requirements

- Ability to offer a range of solutions, while considering available data and making well-informed decisions to finalize plans and design proposals for approval

- Own all store data records, ensuring its accuracy and integrity through regular updates

- Identify and highlight potential risks, recommending mitigating strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

Plan & Design Approvals: Seek timely plan approval from property leaders as per development program and manage design approval process

- Collaborate with UK teams, SRM and Property teams, being compliant and support Property lifecycle.

- Developing and leading a high performing team, creating an environment for success by setting direction and coaching them to succeed through inspiring conversations every day and coaching conversations

- Collaborate with formats team to ensure all latest standards and thinks are aligned

- Look at market trends to drive sustainable cost reductions, and improve how we deliver best value for business.

- Define and enable successful implementation of the long term plans and Property strategy.

- Work closely with the functional leadership and provide strategic inputs on new opportunities.

- Embrace risk reporting culture, actively look for risks within team & external, have short/long term mitigation plans.

- Recognise business priorities and mobilise people, resources & capability to support business needs with responsiveness

- Making decisions within policy and procedure framework to deliver business plans

KPI & Compliance: Establish and drive the quality processes, performance evaluations, and compliance standards. Ensure the delivery of team KPI's and drive a culture of excellence. Keep yourself and team up-to-date with the latest retail market trends and technology

Team & Self Development: Drive continuous improvement culture and innovation. Build capability within the team by provide guidance, coaching, and technical training

One-team Mindset: Build and maintain positive relationship across teams through regular engagement and celebrating achievements. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment

Business Accountabilities: Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence. Responsible for completing tasks within agreed KPI's

You will need
Preferred Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Architecture/ Interior Design/ Bachelor's in Engineering (Civil) 10+ years of experience in relevant field preferred

Must have experience in delivering planning and design for Retail ProjectsAdvanced MS Office Excel, Word, Power PointPeople Policies and Processes KPIs, SLAsOperations Delivery, Operations ManagementAnalysis and Judgment, Problem SolvingStakeholder Management, Change ManagementConceptual application to larger business contextLogical ThinkingExcellent Verbal and Written Communication
