Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Specialist – Object Engineering to design, build, and support enterprise-class storage solutions. The role involves working on object storage platforms, automation, DevOps pipelines, and ensuring seamless deployment and production support across global environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate new technologies and conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) for storage solutions.
- Design and build enterprise-grade storage products and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop automation for upgrades, re-certification, evergreen processes, and production support.
- Integrate systems through APIs and ensure seamless interoperability.
- Document engineering standards, best practices, and operational guidelines.
- Perform testing, certification, and validation of storage products and services.
- Ensure smooth transition of solutions to deployment and support teams.
- Manage risks, timelines, and financial controls for project delivery.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support and resolve complex issues.
- Analyze storage performance, troubleshoot IO issues, and recommend optimized storage architectures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in storage engineering.
- Strong expertise in Object Storage platforms, such as:
- Dell EMC ECS
- NetApp StorageGRID
- Veritas Enterprise Vault
- OpenText InfoArchive
- Cloudian, VAST, Scality, IBM COS, Pure Storage
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Good understanding of NAS, SAN, and backup technologies.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Ansible, or API-based automation.
