Senior/Staff Platform Software Engineer

Role Description

We are looking to fill a remote, full-time Senior/Staff Platform Software Engineer position. This role will be responsible for designing and developing back-end SaaS applications, object-oriented programming (OOP), distributed systems, and data modeling. In addition, this role will be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle and ensuring that product features are designed and delivered according to business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Build high throughput, low latency software for business-critical processes
• Design, develop, test, and maintain core pieces of the Continuous Platform
• End-to-end development of new features and functionality
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to resolve issues and generate new ideas

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience in product engineering
• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working with distributed systems and high-throughput data pipelines
• Extreme proficiency in Kotlin or Java
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and Spring Boot
• Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, design and debugging skills
• Fast learner with the ability to pick up and apply new technologies quickly
• Experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Experience with common dev ops and tools a plus
