Senior Staff Engineer Systems

In your new role you will:

• Design , develop & maintainWLAN L-MAC microcodein custom assembly for 802.11 Standards.
• Work on developing the L-MAC microcode to be compliant with the latest802.11standards including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be.
• Design/Enhance system power optimization to meet standard & protocol specs.
• Pre-Si design verification of MAC layer using scripting languages likeTCL/pythonand validate in emulation environment.
• Work with various Cross functional teams like PHY systems, Firmware development, Hardware design teams to define, document the interfaces to L-MAC layer.
• Hands onsilicon bring-upand meet MAC KPIs like packet processing latency, power save modes.
• Debugging and solving cross layer customer issues - working across boundaries ofWLAN MAC, PHY, CHIP- while staying focused on the underlying problem.
• Identifying issues and proposing design and methodology improvements while driving compliance of existing design flow
• Mentoring and training other team members as necessary
• Creating collateral for internal and external use as necessary

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Should have 8+ years experience in WLAN, MAC,802.11 standards including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be.
• Masters in Electronics/Computer Science Engineering or 10+years with Bachelors in Engineering in Electronics/ Computer Science
• Sound basics in wireless communication systems and embedded system design / programming.
• Hands on experience of programming in Assembly language, C
• Good debugging skills in C, using gdb, analysing crashes using stack trace are essential
