Job Title: Senior SQL DBA

Location: 100% Remote - India

Duration: 6-Month contract + extensions

Shift: Must be able to support PST working hours/overlap with US team's schedule and occasionally handle After-Hours support

Interview Process: Candidate must complete T-SQL coding assessment on IKM (I will initiate) before we can set up interviews with the hiring manager next week- (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 8-12 PM PST)

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience working as a SQL Database Administrator (DBA).

Experience with Redgate SQL Monitoring for monitoring SQL Servers.

Experience with various troubleshooting tasks to optimize queries and stored procedures, utilizing T-SQL.

Experience with extracting data using T-SQL and its basic functions and commands.

Experience with transactional replication to replicate data changes from one database to another in real-time.

Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions specifically SQL Server Failover Clustering and Always on Availability Groups.

Experience working with SQL Servers on virtual machines in Azure.

Day-to-Day: We are seeking a Senior SQL DBA to join the Data Operations team. The primary responsibilities of this role is to manage, optimize and maintaining the overall health and security of databases. This person must understand High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions, strategies for optimizing Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) Systems, resolve various troubleshooting tasks utilizing T-SQL, and Redgate SQL Monitoring for monitoring SQL Servers in Azure.
