- Senior Specialist Infrastructure Engineering
- PowerFlex Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Dell PowerFlex storage systems.
- This role involves ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of the software-defined storage (SDS) environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration: Deploy and configure PowerFlex storage solutions, including nodes, clusters, and networking components.
- System Administration: Manage storage pools, volumes, and replication policies to meet business requirements.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Use tools like PowerFlex Manager to monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and optimize storage performance.
- Upgrades & Patching: Perform firmware, software, and security updates while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement backup strategies, snapshots, and replication policies to protect data.
- Data Replication: Ensuring that data is replicated between Primary and Secondary datacenter. Using Site Recovery Manger to orchestrate data replication. DR test execution with respective teams.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards for data protection.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve system issues, coordinate with Dell support, and implement proactive maintenance.
- Automation & Scripting: Use PowerShell, Ansible, or other scripting languages to automate administrative tasks.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain system documentation, change logs, and generate reports on system performance and capacity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience with Dell PowerFlex storage solutions.
- Knowledge of VMware, Linux, and Windows environments.
- Knowledge of VMware Site Reocvery Manager and replication techniques.
- Understanding of SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NVMe, and Fibre Channel technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud integration and hybrid storage environments.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for storage performance and system failures.
- Automation & Scripting: Ability to use PowerShell, Python, or Ansible for automation.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, and network storage protocols.
