Function: Engineering/(Backend Engineer Python | Flask / FastAPI)

Role Summary:

The Senior Specialist Backend Engineer (A3) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Python (Flask / FastAPI). The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and highperformance APIs and services while owning backend modules endtoend. Strong handson usage of AIassisted development tools is highly valued to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python (Flask / FastAPI)

- Build RESTful APIs with proper validation, error handling, and security

- Implement business logic, integrations, and data access layers

- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services

- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning

- Own quality, stability, and production readiness of assigned backend modules

AI Usage & Productivity Expectations

- Actively use AIassisted tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and documentation

- Leverage AI to accelerate development while ensuring correctness, security, and maintainability

- Use AI to assist in test case creation, edgecase analysis, and rootcause analysis

- Review and validate all AIgenerated outputs before production use

- Continuously identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity using AI

Quality & Collaboration

- Ensure backend code is testable and automationfriendly

- Collaborate closely with Frontend, QA, and Product teams

- Support QA during testing cycles and defect resolution

- Participate in incident analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Future Growth Expectation:

Backend engineers are expected to gradually develop frontend exposure using Angular and move toward fullstack feature ownership over time. Candidates with existing fullstack experience (Python + Angular) are considered a strong advantage.

Skills and Experience:

- 37 years of backend development experience

- Strong expertise in Python with Flask and/or FastAPI

- Experience with REST APIs, authentication, and database integration

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

- Handson usage of AI tools for development productivity is highly preferred
