The ER Specialist will be responsible for managing Employee Relations (ER), Industrial Relations (IR), contract labor administration, statutory compliance, and workforce engagement. The role requires strong people management skills, hands-on experience with labor laws, government liaison, and data-driven HR reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Employee & Industrial Relations
- Manage Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) activities across the organization.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, domestic inquiries, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain healthy industrial relations with workmen, unions (if applicable), and internal stakeholders.
- Support management in negotiations, settlements, and dispute resolution.
- End-to-end management of contract labor including onboarding, attendance, deployment, and exit.
- Ensure compliance with Contract Labor (Regulation & Abolition) Act and other applicable labor laws.
- Coordinate with contractors for manpower planning and performance monitoring.
- Supervise and validate contract payroll processing in coordination with vendors.
- Ensure accuracy of wages, statutory deductions, and timely disbursement.
- Audit contractor bills and payroll records for compliance and correctness.
- Ensure 100% compliance with applicable labor laws (Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, PF, ESI, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.).
- Prepare and file statutory returns, registers, and records within timelines.
- Handle inspections, audits, and queries from labor authorities.
- Coordinate with legal advisors on labor-related cases and compliance matters.
- Liaise with various government authorities (Labor Department, Factory Inspectorate, PF/ESI offices, etc.).
- Manage preparation, renewal, and maintenance of statutory licenses and registrations.
- Handle submission of statutory returns and responses to notices.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities to improve morale and workplace culture.
- Support initiatives related to employee communication, welfare, and retention.
- Act as a bridge between management and employees to foster trust and transparency.
- Maintain and analyze ER/IR data, manpower data, attrition, absenteeism, and compliance dashboards.
- Prepare MIS reports and presentations for management review.
- Use data insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, ER & IR practices
- Hands-on experience in contract labor and payroll handling
- Excellent grievance handling and negotiation skills
- Strong people management and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level) and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations
- Good communication, documentation, and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure situations
- MBA / MSW / PG Diploma in HR or Labor Laws (preferred)
- Certification in Labor Laws or IR (added advantage)
