Job Description

As a Specialist in Cardiology, you will diagnose, treat, and prevent a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. You will manage complex heart diseases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient consultations, review medical histories, and perform physical examinations to assess cardiovascular health.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and congenital heart defects.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, including medical therapy, lifestyle recommendations, or surgical interventions.
  • Perform interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, or pacemaker implantation, depending on expertise and credentials.
  • Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular diseases, risk factor management, and prevention strategies.
  • Stay informed on the latest clinical research and developments in cardiology to apply best practices in patient care.
  • Participate in academic activities, conferences, and cardiology-related research to enhance professional expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from a recognized medical institution
  • Completed residency in Internal Medicine
  • Fellowship training in Cardiology from an accredited program
  • Board certification in Cardiology (e.g., ABIM or equivalent)
  • Valid license to practice as a cardiologist
  • Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compassionate, team-oriented, and patient-centered approach
