Senior Software Test Engineer

The Senior Software Test Engineer is responsible for leading validation and test automation efforts for complex networking software products and platforms. This role focuses on system-level testing, automation strategy, quality assurance, and technical leadership across multi-team, multi-platform environments.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Leadership

• Lead multiple project teams responsible for testing complex networking products across design, validation, and integration phases.
• Provide technical leadership for functional, scale, and performance testing initiatives across platforms.
• Drive adoption of advanced testing methodologies to improve product quality and reduce failure risk.

Automation & Validation

• Design, develop, and deliver automated test scripts using agile methodologies.
• Execute functional, regression, scale, and performance test cases and integrate automation into regression pipelines.
• Debug failures, analyze defects, and work with development teams to drive resolution.

Networking & Protocol Testing

• Validate networking features across L2/L3 technologies including routing, switching, multicast, MPLS, and class-of-service.
• Perform protocol-level validation using telemetry, SNMP, and packet-based analysis.
• Use industry-standard networking test equipment to validate performance and scalability.

Systems & Architecture Testing

• Contribute to overall software systems architecture validation across multiple platform types.
• Design and integrate test frameworks that support containerized, virtualized, and SDN-based networking solutions.
• Evaluate and improve testing processes, frameworks, and tools for complex distributed systems.

Mentorship & Technical Excellence

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Promote innovation by integrating new automation tools, frameworks, and technologies into testing workflows.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation for networking products.
