Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing test strategy, creating and executing test plans, and preparing test reports to support all test phases for software products based on web and mobile technologies. You will also design test automation to implement the automation strategy and drive software quality engineering efforts across unit, module, system, and user acceptance testing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Quality Engineering efforts across product versions and provide subject matter expertise in quality engineering processes and methodologies.
- Lead impact assessment and decision-making related to Quality Engineering plans and strategies for releases.
- Leverage expertise in manual and automation testing to design and enhance test scripts for use across releases and test phases.
- Provide expert oversight, mentoring team members, and leading quality initiatives in large development efforts.
- Ensure test plan and test case creation within sprints and create an environment for avoiding escapes to production.
- Write test cases in Rally and get them reviewed by the Product Owner/Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience with API Automation using Rest Assured, expertise in API testing using tools like Postman and REST Assured.
- Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter.
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, OSGI, XML, Spring, SQL, Oracle, and Shell scripting.
- Proficiency in a programming language like Java for functional automation using Selenium.
- Experience with testing frameworks and developing scalable automation frameworks (e.g., data-driven, hybrid, or BDD frameworks using Cucumber).
- Strong experience in performance testing methodologies and metrics.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with languages like Java.
- Experience in integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitLab.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with code coverage tools (e.g., JSCoverage, Clover, Emma) to identify test coverage.
