Senior Software Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India (On-site/Hybrid) Type: Full-time

XHawk.ai is building the System of Context for the next generation of software engineering. We believe the future of development is hybridwhere humans and coding agents work side-by-step. To make this reality, we are building an AI-native, headless platform that serves as the backend store and intelligence layer for engineering teams.

We are a seed-stage startup moving fast to define how context is managed in an LLM-first world. If you are obsessed with developer tools, agentic workflows, and building systems that understand code better than a human, this is your ground floor.

As a Founding Engineer, you will work directly with the founder to architect and build the core engine of XHawk.

What you'll do:

• Build the Brain: Architect and implement the backend intelligence layer that powers our System of Context.
• LLM-First Architecture: Design systems where non-deterministic LLM outputs are first-class citizens, ensuring reliability and observability in agentic workflows.
• Scale the Data Layer: Build high-performance context stores that can ingest, index, and retrieve massive amounts of engineering data (code, docs, communications) in real-time.

• Polyglot & Versatile: You are comfortable moving between languages (Python and Go) and cloud stacks. You pick the right tool for the job.
• AI-Native Builder: You have hands-on experience building with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, OSS models) and understand the challenges of context windows, RAG, and agentic loops.
• Systems Thinker: You understand how to build headless platforms and APIs that other developers love to use.
• Massive Scale: You understand what it takes to build systems that can run across 100's of nodes and handle millions of API calls every day
• High Ownership: You thrive in an early-stage, zero-to-one environment. You don't wait for a ticket; you see a problem and solve it.

• You prefer to use Claude Code over IDE and are comfortable pushing to master branch every day
• Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search
• Previous experience in a fast pace startup
