Staff Engineer
Work Experience - 15-20 yrs
What the job involves
- Build full-stack applications (both front-end and back-end).
- Ensure the software is high quality, maintainable, and well-tested.
- Work on real-world healthcare problems, meaning the work has real impact.
- Collaborate closely with Design and Product teams.
- Work in a supportive and empathetic environmentteam culture is important.
Experience must be in:
- Agile or SaaS environments
- Professional software development (not just academic or hobby projects)
Technical skill requirements
Back-end (Functional Programming preferred)
Experience with:
- Clojure
- Haskell
- OR Java/Python as long as you use functional programming principles
Front-end
Experience with:
You may have either back-end expertise, front-end expertise, or both.
Infrastructure & Tools
Should be comfortable with:
- AWS (cloud)
- Docker (containerization)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Git, Jira
- Practices like pair programming, testing, and code reviews
Domain preference
Not mandatory, but good to have:
- Experience in clinical trials
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance (US healthcare data confidentiality)
Work location
- Remote-only role, but candidates must live in Pune.
