About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build intuitive and responsive frontend applications using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Implement and optimize event-driven architectures using Kafka, ensuring high throughput and reliability.
  • Develop GenAI-powered features, integrating LLM-based components for automation, insights, and productivity enhancements.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) following cloud-native principles.
  • Work with data storage technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, distributed storage) ensuring performance, integrity, and scalability.
  • Contribute to end-to-end SDLC, including design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and production support.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise security, risk, and compliance standards.
  • Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of handson software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience building front-end applications using React.
  • Practical experience with Kafka (producers, consumers, schema, partitions, streams).
  • Hands-on exposure to OCP/OpenShift including containerization, deployments, and monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of GenAI/LLM models, including integration with APIs and AI-driven components.
  • Solid understanding of data storage systems: SQL, NoSQL, caching, distributed storage.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git, testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
