We invite you to become part of our highly motivated engineering team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge Container Security Solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a new product offering from Qualys.

This position is based at our rapidly growing R&D center in Pune, India, which is an integral part of our global, multi-continent engineering organization.

Responsibilities:

As part of a dynamic team of engineers and architects, you will:

  • Design, prototype, develop, and support highly scalable SaaS-based security solutions.
  • Collaborate on architecture and feature design for complex software systems.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing and performance optimization.

Required Technical Skills:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Go programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of Containers, Kubernetes, and various container runtimes.
  • Understanding of container image creation processes; multi-stage build experience is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating system internals.
  • Experience in design, prototyping, development, testing, and performance profiling.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and similar development tools.

Soft Skills & Attributes:


  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering assigned products, components, and features.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Proven ability to work on complex projects with multiple features and short release cycles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
