Senior Software Engineer

As aSenior Software Engineer (Backend Developer (GoLang),you will be part of the team that designs and develops cloud-based offerings targeting the small and medium sized Pitney Bowes customer base. You will be deeply involved in leading the development of the SaaS based offering including collaborating across the organization with architects, UX experts, product managers and other software developers. You will use your expertise in building highly scalable cloud solutions in an agile setting. You are expected to be hands on and up to date with the latest technology stack. The Job

• As a Golang developer, the jobis to build optimized, scalable, and modular software using required technologies.
• You are tasked with developing and coding back-end components and connecting applications to other web services.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative solutions that meets the needs of our customers
• Evaluate and incorporate new technologies into new and existing frameworks and solutions as applicable

Requirements

• At least 2 year of experience with Golang.
• Have expertise in implementing micro services
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases, ability to write complex queries and optimize them.
• Basic understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, RKT, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Basic experience with CI/CD systems (Gitlab, Jenkins etc.)
• Basic experience working with AWS/Google Cloud

Good to have

• Working knowledge of Java based systems
• Basic understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Sumologic, Splunk, Dynatrace etc.
• Basic understanding of telemetry tools such as Prometheus etc.
