Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (SDET - Manual & Automation)

Experience- 6-10 years

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - SDET who is passionate about quality engineering and owns testing across the SDLC. The role requires strong expertise in manual testing, test automation, and CI/CD-driven quality gates. You will work closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software releases.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing & Quality Ownership

. Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical designs to identify test scenarios and edge cases

. Design and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test strategies

. Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing

. Proactively identify risks, gaps, and quality issues early in the lifecycle

Automation Testing

. Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch or extend existing ones

. Automate UI, API, and end-to-end test scenarios using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar

. Ensure automation coverage aligns with business-critical workflows

. Debug and stabilize flaky tests and improve test execution reliability

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines

. Configure test execution with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools

. Enable automated quality gates for pull requests and releases

. Generate and publish test reports and metrics as part of the pipeline

AI-Driven Testing (Added Advantage)

. Leverage AI-assisted testing tools for test case generation, test optimization, or defect prediction

. Use AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, test-intelligence platforms) to improve productivity and test coverage

. Explore self-healing tests and intelligent test selection

Qualifications

. 6+ years of experience in manual and automation testing

. Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or similar automation tools

. Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#

. Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals, SDLC, and Agile methodologies

Automation & Tools

. Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks

. UI, API, and integration testing experience

. Familiarity with test runners, assertions, and reporting tools

CI/CD & Version Control

. Strong experience with GitHub (branching, pull requests, code reviews)

. CI/CD pipeline integration using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent

. Understanding of test execution in cloud or containerized environments is a plus

Good to Have

. Experience with performance or security testing tools

. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

. Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, etc.)

. Experience testing microservices and distributed systems
