Senior Software Engineer, .NET, for Automation Solutions Products (based in Pune, India)

We are looking for Senior Software Engineer, .NET to be based in Pune, India. This position reports to Senior Product Manager, Automation Solutions Products Optimization Solutions.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to perform software development on Valmet's best in class software products PlantTriage and WinGEMS. Used across process industries worldwide, PlantTriage performs Control Loop Performance Management. WinGEMS is the most widely utilized simulation package in the pulp and paper industry.
In this position, you will be required to,
- Translate proposed product features into design specifications
- Contribute to team decisions on software architecture and security considerations
- Develop middle-tier and front-end software components in .NET, Angular, and Typescript
- Follow appropriate coding standards and design considerations
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure consistency and interoperability
- Attend regular virtual meetings with team spread across India, Europe, and North America
- Occasional (up to 5%) international travel is required
To succeed in this role, you will need:- 5-10 years of experience in .NET C# software development.
- Experience using SQL and DDL.
- Experience implementing REST APIs.
- Strong mathematical background
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Detail engineering knowledge of Pressure parts & support structures engineering
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
Additional desired skills:- Modern C++ development
- JavaScript and TypeScript experience
- Knowledge of software design principles
- Advanced applied mathematics
- Familiarity with industrial processes, process control, and the pulp and paper industry
- Experience creating packaged software
