Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SDE3) to build and scale a mission-critical,

ultra-low latency stock broking platform designed for massive scale and peak market volatility.

You will work on high-throughput, real-time trading systems and contribute directly to

architecture, low-level design, and performance optimization of core trading components.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance backend services for trading systems.

Implement ultra-low latency trade routing and order processing components.

Contribute to system architecture and drive detailed Low-Level Design (LLD).

Create comprehensive Technical Design Documents (TDDs) for new features and

system enhancements.

Participate in architecture discussions and system design reviews.

Build highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed services.

Optimize systems for deterministic latency and high TPS.

Ensure production readiness with proper logging, monitoring, and observability.

Collaborate with product, compliance, and infrastructure teams.

Mandatory Experience

68 years in backend or distributed systems engineering.

Experience building high-scale, real-time systems.

2+ years of experience in stock broking / trading platforms / capital markets.

Experience working on mission-critical systems with strict SLAs.

Domain Expertise (Broking Systems)

Strong practical understanding of:

Order & Execution Flow

Understanding of order lifecycle in broking (validation risk checks routing

exchange acknowledgement trade confirmation).

Exposure to low-latency trade routing systems.

Order state management basics and reconciliation awareness.

Market Data & Charting

Experience working with market feed ingestion (tick-level data preferred).

Real-time data aggregation concepts.

Basic understanding of high-throughput processing for charting systems.

Portfolio, Risk & P&L

Awareness of real-time portfolio and position tracking.

Understanding of MTM and real-time P&L computation logic.

Integration awareness with RMS and margin systems.

Distributed Trading Architecture

Familiarity with data movement across OMS, RMS, portfolio, and reporting services.

Exposure to event-driven communication across distributed systems.

Understanding of consistency and fault tolerance concepts in trading workflows.

Technical Skills

Core Engineering

Strong proficiency in Go (mandatory).

Strong proficiency in Java (preferred).

Deep understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and networking fundamentals.

Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

System Design & LLD

Hands-on experience in writing Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.

Experience creating Technical Design Documents (TDDs) with sequence diagrams, API

contracts, and data flow.

Ability to break down high-level architecture into implementable service designs.

Experience reviewing peer design documents and providing constructive feedback.

Distributed & Event-Driven Systems

Experience building distributed architectures.

Hands-on experience with gRPC (public APIs and inter-service communication).

Experience building event-driven systems using Kafka.

Understanding of asynchronous workflows and backpressure handling.

Performance Engineering

Experience profiling and optimizing backend services.

Understanding of latency optimization and memory management.

Experience handling high TPS systems.
