About the Role
This is a senior IC role for someone who wants to own large systems end-to-end, not just write tickets. You will shape core infrastructure, build the data and agentic execution layers, and ship product surfaces that thousands of teams will rely on. You will work across the stack — backend, frontend, AI systems, and cloud infrastructure — and have direct technical influence over what we build and how we build it.
We are not a place for narrow specialization. If you want to design a distributed job queue, debug a Rust parser, optimize a React rendering path, and write a prompt engineering eval all in the same week, you will love it here.
What You Will Actually Do
- Own and build core systems end-to-end — from the data ingestion pipeline to the agentic execution engine to the product UI.
- Design and ship scalable backend services. You will write production APIs, event-driven workers, and distributed systems that handle high-throughput enterprise data.
- Build and iterate on the AI agent layer. Implement LLM-powered workflows, tool-calling systems, retrieval pipelines, and eval frameworks that let us ship AI features with confidence.
- Own the frontend product surface. Build polished, responsive, and high-performance React/Next.js interfaces that make complex AI interactions feel effortless.
- Work with Rust, Python, and TypeScript. You will write file parsers, embedding pipelines, rerankers, and fine-tuning infra when needed.
- Design and maintain data systems. Model schemas in PostgreSQL, build Redis caching layers, and optimize query patterns for latency and scale.
- Ship on Kubernetes and AWS. You will write Dockerfiles, configure CI/CD, and own production deployments on our cloud-native stack.
- Set engineering standards. Write clean, well-tested code. Review PRs with rigor. Define architecture decisions and document them clearly.
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founding team. No layers, no politics — just real technical conversations and fast decisions every day.

What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior IC or tech-lead capacity.
- Deep expertise in at least one of: backend systems, frontend product engineering, or data/AI infrastructure. You should be dangerous in at least two.
- Strong system design skills. You can architect a service from scratch, reason about trade-offs, and write clean, maintainable code.
- Experience with our stack (or strong adjacent experience): TypeScript/JavaScript, React/Next.js, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- AI-native mindset. You have worked with LLMs before — prompts, embeddings, agents, retrieval, context windows, evals. You understand where they break and how to ship around it.
- Production discipline. You write tests, think about edge cases, care about observability, and know how to debug a production incident under pressure.
- High ownership and low ego. You take full responsibility for what you ship, and you do not need hand-holding.
- Speed with quality. You ship fast, iterate faster, and cut scope ruthlessly to hit deadlines without sacrificing craft.
- Clear written communication. You write specs that engineers respect, PR descriptions that are useful, and documentation that outlasts you.
Nice to Have
- Experience building or working with AI agents, tool-calling frameworks, or multi-step workflow orchestration.
- Rust experience, especially for systems-level or performance-critical components.
- Early-stage startup experience — comfortable with ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and building 0-to-1 products.
- Open-source contributions or side projects that demonstrate taste and technical depth.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS integrations, security best practices, or compliance (SOC 2, GDPR).
